"The trek to the most peaceful regions of glacial lakes in Everest, where a ridge top caters the best views of Everest, Cho-Oyu, Lhotse and Khumbu Glacier, Gokyo Lake Trek also come across some of Khumbu's less frequented Sherpa hamlets."

Gokyo Valley Trek best suits to those trekkers who are willing to trek along the trails of legendary Everest Region relatively quieter with less trekkers.  Though the Gokyo Valley Trek with Access Nepal does not reach to Everest Base Camp or Kalapattar, the trek to Gokyo alone is mind-blowing in itself.  The trek begins at Lukla and for the first two days, the trek chases the trail of classic Everest Base Camp Trek. Holding one of the best views of mighty Everest, scenic tranquility and thriving Sherpa culture, Gokyo Valley Trek is not less fascinating and thrilling as Everest Base Camp Trek.

Gokyo Valley or Gokyo Lakes Trek is truly Nepal’s one of the most beautiful treks as it winds through lush vegetation of Sagarmatha National Park, occasionally emerging to highland Sherpa Hamlets finally taking you to the paramount of alpine heaven- Gokyo Lakes- the cluster of turquoise glacial lakes.

The experience of utter silence trekkers feel at the top of Gokyo Ri 5483m is one of the few best moments trekkers come across during treks in any part of the world. The scenic view of scattered lakes of Gokyo, upclose view of Mt. Everest and Khumbu Icefall are also the most excellent views of Gokyo Lake Trek.

Moreover, an opportunity to witness the Hindu Death ritual at Aryaghat Pashupatinath is an offbeat cultural experience. After the exploration of Pashupatinath we will walk along the busy streets of Kathmandu to Boudhanath. A large domed shaped Buddhist stupa, Boudhanath holds huge religious significance among the Tibetan Buddhists of Nepal. A major shrine on ancient Indo-China trade route Boudhanath offered blessings to traders and scholars for safe journey through the high Himalayan passes to Tibet. Saffron robed monks circumambulating Boudhanath, colorful prayer flags touching the skyline from the dome pinnacle to the base of large monument and the and outlets selling Tibetan souvenirs makes this place a true Tibet outside Tibet. Post lunch the sightseeing tour continues to Kathmandu Durbar Square. The exemplary wooden and stone craftsmanship at the site makes a place the prominent attraction for tourists. Day 03: Day 03: Fly to Lukla and trek to Phakding (2610m)

Our flight to Lukla is early in the morning (From 6:30- 8:00 AM), so you will be transferred to Kathmandu domestic airport . Though, 3 shifts of eight aircrafts daily fly to Lukla, sometimes because of the bad weather every plane is grounded. So, there are chances you may have to wait for your turn to fly to Lukla. Once you fly on a 19 seater twin otter plane to Lukla, the journey is scenic and at times it is thrilling. After 25 minutes of scenic and thrilling flight, you will land at the airstrips of Lukla which hangs on the cliff at 2800m. On your arrival at Lukla, you will be cordially welcomed by your trek guide and instantly begin the trekking adventure to Everest Base Camp! The trek begins on the trial beside Dudh Koshi River. Through pleasant mid-hill forest we cross pass several Sherpa hamlets, go ups and downs frequently and after 3 and half hours of trek we arrive to Phakding.

Today's trek is relatively short; in fact it is an introduction of typical trek day. Lot more is yet to come enjoy.Dinner & O/N at Mt. Lodge

Day 04: Day 04: Trek to Namche (3440m)

Today,  the first half day of the trek, gradually ascends up to the Dudh Koshi Valley. The trial goes through several suspension bridges from one hill to another hill. After 2 hours of pleasant walk we arrive at Sagarmatha National Park entrance in Manjo. We need to produce our TIMS card and National Park Permit at the Entrance. We will stop at Jorsale for the lunch. Jorsale is  is the last village before Namche. Beyond Jorsale, we chase the trial that arrives to the  longest bridge in the valley, then a short walk brings you to the deep and short, Hillary Bridge. The trial after Hillary Bridge is a 3-hour painstaking steep uphill climb to Sherpa capital, Namche.  then we have a long hill up(almost of 3 hours on slow and steady) to reach Namche. The hard efforts put to arrive at Namche offers with the big reward- the first view of Everest. On reaching to the top, of the hill, we will settle into our Lodge. Dinner & O/N at Mt. Lodge

Day 05: Acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar (3440m)

Today, we will have our first acclimatization day of the trek! Higher the altitude, thinner the air- we need to gain altitude slowly and steadily so that we get enough time to acclimatize en route, to Everest Base Camp 5357m.  However, the acclimatization day does not mean to chill with the beer at Namche. We hike to a hill above Namche, which is one and half hours hike. The view of  Mt. Everest with great panorama of Khumbu Himalayas are spectacular from Syangboche. Return back to Namche, lunch and remaining day you can simply  relax or visit in and around Namche .

Day 06: Trek to Dole (4038m)

Gradually the trek now enters above 4000m. A short climb over to the ridge top out of Namche rewards us with the striking views of Everest and Lhotse. We continue to chase the frequented main trail for quite a while. Throughout the trail, we witness traders selling Tibetan handicrafts. As we arrive to the crossroads which lies significantly high above Dudh Koshi River, the trail branches. The downhill trail stretches to Everest Base Camp but we chase the trail that ascends to Mon La Pass. We cross the pass to reach Phortse.. In Phortse we explore around to see the preserved culture in a local monastery, we may visit a  local power house, we may  go for nature walk and even trek to Luri Peak. Then our trail climbs steeply out of the valley through the Rhododendron jungles to the settlements of Tonga and Gyele (3,960m) to arrive Dole.Today we will have marvelous view of Khumbila and Tawache (6,542m). Once we reach Dole, we take time to explore around Dole.  Stay overnight at Dole.

Day 07: Trek to Machhermo (4470m)

Today the trek begins with the gradual climb alongside the valley. We are now into thinner air relatively; the jungle in the vicinity now turns into alpine forest- junipers dominating the woods. As we trek we see many summer settlements and summer grazing lands throughout today’s trail. No doubt in such high altitude Himalayan views shall eventually feast our eyes; excellent views of Cho Oyu, and its neighboring peaks of Kantega and Thamserku are now in the sight. By the lunch time, we would arrive at Machermo 4,410m . Rest of the time we explore around the valley and stay overnight at Machhermo.

Day 08: Trek to Gokyo Valley (4,790 m)

After the breakfast, today the trail climbs over the ridge for an outstanding views; below is a stunning view of deepseated Khantega Gorge and upwards the majestic Cho Oyu (8,153m) stands right before our eyes. Further then the edge the valley extends as trail goes side by side Pangram at 4,390m. We go down to the River bank before we start the climb up to the fetal moraine of the Ngozumpa glacier. It is vertical scale on the moraine, afterwards the path heights out as it follows the valley past second lake. A bit further up we arrive to Gokyo valley for overnight stay.

Day 09: Day exploration to Gokyo Ri 5-6 hrs hike

Early morning we climb to Gokyo Ri (5,463m) from where the Everest (8,848m), Mt Cho Oyu (8,153m), Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Makalu and other peaks are visible.
