Just off an 11 day ABC trek with Prakash our guide and Deepak our porter. Could not have asked for better duo. Kind, generous, knowledgeable and always a delight to be with. The trek was spectacular. Not easy by any stretch. Almost always climbing up or down stone stairs for long stretches. Gorgeous views especially our early morning hike up to Poonhill to see the sun rise over the Himalayas. One unfortunate event. The region got hit with a massive snow storm and with the danger of avalanches, we choose not to risk the hike to MBC and ABC. Disappointed of course but in no way did it change our view of the trip. Couldn’t recommend it more highly to those prepared for strenuous days and simple living in the tea houses, Access Nepal a great company. High touch. Oh, and the Hotel Batika in Pokhara is really nice! My wife, the writer, will write more!

Guaranteed support and unique experience with Access
did the Three Passes Trekking with Access and I can assure you that it was the best experience of my life.
Sadhana gave me all the support a few weeks before the trip, organized the itinerary, a guide gave me all the tips before the trip, clothes, health, itinerary, tips and everything else.
In addition to everything, Lakpa was my guide, I don’t know what would have become of me without him, he recognized the moments when I was very tired, he arranged all my organization for a peaceful stay in the lodges and he gave me a lot of support.
Anyway, I recommend Access with my eyes closed, I want and will go back to Nepal in the near future and do other trekkings. It was my life’s dream come true!

My sister, brother and I did the EBC and Kala Patthar Trek in March 2017. Access Nepal were awesome!! Extremely organised and we were so happy to have such a knowledgable guide Ganesh. Our porters were lovely too. Being our first ever Trek, it was hard but we felt very comfortable and safe the whole way. Ganesh gave us a lot of support and motivation along the way and the feeling of success after completing the Trek made it all worth it!! Highly Recommend trekking in Nepal and using Access Nepal. I will definitely be returning in the future 😀

We did ABC trek with Access Nepal in early October. Our guide Mahendra was fantastic. Very knowledgeable about the local area and clearly knows the guesthouses well. Went out of his way to get us a bamboo curry made even though it was out of season and not on the menu. Adjusted our route to make sure we had the best experience and views. The views on the trek were awesome!

We felt things were well taken care of with Rahul in Kathmandu. We met with him both before and after the trek to answer questions and get feedback etc.

All in all wouldn’t hesitate to use Access Nepal again in the future.

Go with Giri!
Karki Raj (AKA Giri) was an amazing guide. He was funny and knowledgeable and took care of us through our arduous trek to Gokyo-ri. I highly recommend booking with him if you can.
The trek itself is incredible. Much less crowded than EBC, Gokyo-ri offers similar altitudes and I’m sure equally breathtaking views (you sure won’t have any breath left at the top, anyway).
The tour at the beginning of the trip is also very interesting and culturally immersive. Though looking back, your time in Kathmandu will not be the highlight of the trip. The trek is just so much better.
All-in-all I think Access Nepal is a good company to go trekking with. They are professional, we stayed in a nice hotel in Nepal and always nice tea houses along the trek. We ate lots of Dal Bhat.

Base camp trek to everest jan 2-14

Long story short: My partner and I completed a trip to Mount Everest base camp on jan 4-15 2017. It was a life changing experience, not easy in midwinter, but we couldn’t have done it without the organisation skills of Sadhana, the guidance from our extremely competent guide jivan baram and our friendly, full of energy porter Gopal. I whole heartedly recommend this company and the guidance of the staff mentioned. They went above and beyond for us, ensuring we were always safe and healthy as well as making things fit to our schedule. This is also one of the best prices treks I found when looking for a reliable company. Thumbs up 👍

Short story long (the details): we arrived with a tight time frame and unfortunately on the plane to kathmandu, we had both been food poisoned. We were sent to a reliable tourist catering private hospital where we were taken care of over three nights (insurance is a must when coming to Nepal!). We were very worried that we wouldn’t be able to continue the trek as we were terribly ill and running out of time because of our unexpected hospital stay. Sadhana (whom I had been in touch with since March 2016- and who always responded to our needs and emails promptly) organised the trek so that we would be able to still make it to base camp in our new time frame of ten days. Mee were discharged on jan 4 and were on the plane to lukla on jan 5 (the flight is bumpy but you will make it from a to b).
Our fitness wasn’t great and our health was slowly improving but not 100% but Our tour guide Jivan and our porter Gopal (I strongly recommend these two!! I trusted them with my life! Genuine Nepalese men who respect the beautiful nature we were invited to and who are extremely knowledgable and fit) made sure we were walking at a pace that fit us, that we were fed good vegetarian food and being hydrated. After hours of walking their service still doesn’t stop. They make sure your comfortable in your room and have everything you need. He knew how to read our strength and abilities and motivated us to the point we were surprising ourselves with all that we were achieving day by day.
After making it to 5,364meters above sea level to base camp, the altitude sickness began to hit and it felt like you were walking through syrup. You become dizzy and light headed due to the decreased oxygen levels. Constant head aches. It reached -30 degrees Celsius at our highest villiage but we were determined and were completely supported by jivan and Gopal.
I have so much gratitude for the morals and service that this company provided. We were invited and shown into their beautiful country and customs. If I go back, I will be using access Nepal tour and trekking. 👍
