Traveled to Kathmandu with my Son & Daughter to climb Mera Peak with Access Nepal, second time I’ve travelled with them.
Trip organisation was excellent, from collection at Kathmandu airport, hotel while in Kathmandu, helicopter flights to/from Lukla, wonderful guide with so much experience and we all reach the summit.
Sadhana based in Kathmandu went beyond to ensure our trip was safe, organised and enjoyable.
Dawa our guide was fantastic, very experienced, spoke a lot about local Sherpa traditions, gave encouragement when we were flagging and is well respected by other guides.
Overall I would strongly recommend using Access Nepal, reasonable cost going direct to a company based in Nepal.

This tour trekking to Everest Base camp was absolutely amazing! Our guide Jivan and porter were super friendly and very very experienced. We didn’t have to worry about the logistics day-to-day it was all taken care of by Jivan and Access Nepal. It made it enjoyable that we knew we were in good care and enabled us to focus on the incredible scenery and surviving the long hikes each day. Each day we would hike anywhere between 4-10hours on and off. Around 20-30,000 steps a day however at quite a slow pace to avoid altitude side effects. Recommend taking the Dimmox, there’s alternatives but when you up there you will want to increase your chances of succeeding. We started taking Dimmox from Namche on wards no need to take earlier. Expect delays flying from Kathmandu to Lukla, it took us a couple days and multiple heli flights to get to the start point of the trek. Weather moves insanely fast up there. One minute will be clear next your in the clouds. This may mean that you will combine days to finish the tour on time. Food was fantastic, I eat a lot and there was plenty of it! Only advice is to avoid eating meat, not worth the risk of stomach issues. Overall the trip was tough but absolutely worth it! Highly recommend Access Nepal to help you do this.

Everest Base Camp trek April 2017

We booked the trek to Everest base camp with Access Nepal as they were the most competitive priced, Sadhana our contact focal point was very helpful and informative, email replies were very quick and answered any questions that we had. From the arrival in Kathmandu and throughout the trek the organisation and professionalism was fantastic. Our very experienced guide Jivan and our 2 porters worked tiredlessly to ensure we were looked after, we felt that we had the best rooms in the tea houses and fruit after each evening meal was the icing on the cake. Being a smaller group the whole experience was more pleasant, some of the other tour operators were running with very large groups which made meal times, the trek and room assignment problematic.
The trek ran like clockwork, our rooms were ready when we arrived at each destination, each evening we were briefed on what to expect for the next day. Lunch stops were leisurely, and the trekking pace comfortable to ensure maximum climatisation and eventual success to base camp. Reaching Everest base camp was very rewarding, the climbing season was well on the way and submitters were already in camp preparing for the challenge of the mountain, climbing Everest natural balcony Kala Pattar for sun rise and seeing the mountain mass emerge from the darkness was breath taking.
In Kathmandu we were treated to a traditional Nepalese evening before the trek start, and on our return a farewell and congratulations meal at a very nice restaurant.
I would certainly recommend Access Nepal Tours & Trekking, our Everest base camp experience was excellent. Thinking of a return in the near future to climb Mera peak, Access Nepal will be my first choose of tour operator.

EBC TREK–Excellent

Highly recommend Access Nepal Tour & Trekking: two of us did the 14 day EBC trek in April 2018 and it was an excellent experience. I did the EBC 40 years ago and this was a great redux. Ms. SADHAHA ADHIKARI was our initial contact through he reservation process and the initial meeting in Kathmandu. She was great-handled details and questions quickly and to our satisfaction. Our guide DEVMAN TAMANG really made the trek excellent. He was personable (which is nice on a 14 day adventure), had great insight, contacts and top notch navigation skills (the geography, tea houses, routes, remedies for assorted maladies etc.)
He made it a priority that we attained our goal of reaching EBC, getting through some rough spots and tough terrain.
Be sure to tip the guide and the porter: even though they are compensated by the company, they depend on tips as part of their overall comp (think restaurants in the US.) They worked their tails off in so many ways and since the cost of the trek was very reasonable, adding a generous tip still kept the cost of the trek fair and made a big difference to them.
This was a great trip, loved Nepal and thought ACCESS NEPAL TOUR & TREKKING was an excellent firm to work with. Can’t wait to go back for another trek. (With Dev as guide, of course!)

Simply had the best time doing the Everest Base camp Trek. Sadhana was fantastic with all questions regarding trip arrangements. Her professional service and arranging was faultless. Made the trip so easy. Our guide Prakash was excellent with great knowledge of trek, region and I think his expertise in gauging the pace to walk at (especially up steep sections) helped our acclimatization. He always looked after us in the Tea houses and checked everything was fine.
To top it off we had excellent weather all along the trek.
Thank you Sadhana, Prakash and all the people at Access Nepal for a wonderful holiday/trek and great experience.
