"Traditional route to the Everest Base Camp that Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay followed to get to Northern Base Camp of Everest when they summited Everest in 1953."

Jiri to Everest Base Camp chases the celebrated EBC trail from Namche onwards, however skipping an electrifying Lukla flight to begin the trek is worthwhile. Jiri, the place also known as Switzerland of Nepal, is stunning small mid-hill town and the mountainous hamlets inbetween Jiri and Namche are wonderful time forgotten villages, which can be interesting discovery during this trek.

Jiri to Everest Base Camp Trek is the first route used by the early expedition’s team to climb Mt. Everest from the Nepal side and it also known as the most beautiful route on the earth. This route starts from Jiri, passes through the Sherpa villages of the Solu Khumbu and also takes you to Kala Patthar, from where the southwest face of Everest can be clearly seen, as well as a side trip to Everest Base Camp and while returning this trek leads you to Lukla for the flight back to Kathmandu.

Apart of this, This Everest Base Camp trek via Jiri route also provides you great opportunity to experience beautiful Khumbu district, and allows for gradual acclimatization. On this trail, the highest elevation you reached is the viewpoint of Kala Pattar (5550m). Jiri to Everest Base Camp Trek is the wonderful journey from lowland.
