Day 1 Arrival day in Kathmandu 1400m; Cordial welcome in the airport and transfer to your hotel; Welcome dinner in the evening in a cultural restaurant

Actually, Nepal opens in the air; just before the plane lands at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. If you are, lucky enough with the bright sunshine on your arrival day the wide range of soaring Himalayan Peaks to the North is a magnificent view. As you complete the immigration formalities of the airport and make your way out from the Arrivals Terminal, we would offer you a warm Nepalese welcome and transfer you to your hotel in Thamel in a private vehicle. At hotel, you will have a very easy check-in procedure. Let the flight exhaustion go off in the cozy hotel room. In the evening, we will offer you a welcome dinner in one of the finest cultural restaurants of the city.

Day 2 Sight Seeing Tour of Swayambhunath, Bungmati, Khokhana and Patan

After an early breakfast, we will begin to explore the cultural and historical treasures in & around Kathmandu valley. Driving couple of kilometers from the hotel we arrive to Swayambhunath- locals believe it to self emerged stupa however archeological findings suggest the monastery was bulit in seventh century. The monastery on a hill 70m above Kathmandu overlooks the valley and is well-known as Monkey Temple. Witness the thriving culture of Tibetan Buddhism at Swayambhunath. Then we drive to cultural hamlet Bungmati – 16th century Newari Village flanking Patan. The elevated village that overlooks Bagmati River has been the home to nation’s best wood carvers  for generations. Narrow and paved streets of the village with outlets selling wooden souvenirs and workshops occupied by busy wood carvers- intersting view for your eyes and unique shot for the lense.  After Bungamati we drive to Khokana, another cultural village in the neighborhood dominated by Newari tribe. Enjoy the spicy environment of the village as this traditional village is a cluster of typical Newar houses with the rooftops filled with the garlands of red chillies, garlic and corn. Khokana also produces the most famous for mustard oil in Kathmandu Valley. Today’s sightseeing tour ends at the most artistic Durbar Square in the valley. Patan Durbar Square, the richest courtyard culturally and historically amongst the other durbar squares of the valley offers picturesque atristic delights in every corner. Famous Krishna Temple, Ashoka Pillars and the manifestation of sex in an intruging way throughout small and big monuments are worthwhile exploration at Patan Durbar Square.

Day 3 Sightseeing tour of Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Bhaktapur Durabar Square, and Changunarayan; Evening transfer to Nagarkot

Kathmandu Valley is the historical and cultural hub of Nepal. Early morning we enjoy the breakfast and drive to the most popular Hindu Temple of Nepal, Pashupatinath. The temple dedicated to Lord Shiva is a UNESCO World Heritage Site is the most sacred place in Nepal to cremate the departed ones. Explore the temple and understand Hinduism at Pashupatinath. Then few minutes’ walk will bring you to Boudhnath, which the biggest Buddhist stupa in Nepal. A large domed shaped Buddhist stupa, Boudhanath holds huge religious significance among the Tibetan Buddhists of Nepal. A major shrine on ancient Indo-China trade route Boudhanath offered blessings to traders and scholars for safe journey through the high Himalayan passes to Tibet. Saffron robed monks circumambulating Boudhanath, colorful prayer flags touching the skyline from the dome pinnacle to the base of large monument and the and outlets selling Tibetan souvenirs makes this place a true Tibet outside Tibet. After the lunch in a restaurant at Boudhanath, we drive to city of Bhaktapur. The Bhaktapur Durbar Square is a perfect place to experience the glorified ancient days of the kingdom of Bhaktapur. The entrance to the Durbar Square is through a golden gate, which is decorated by carvings dedicated to various Hindu Gods. Bhaktapur has myriad medieval monuments like the Nyatapola, which is a five-storied temple. After visiting Bhaktapur, we drive to Changunarayan. The temple dedicated to Lord Bishnu is also the major Hindu Temple of the Valley and the oldest in Nepal. After the day’s tour, we drive to Nagarkot, beautiful Hilltop 15 kilometers northeast of Bhaktapur.

Day 4 Sunrise view from Nagarkot; Drive to Kathmandu and sightseeing tour of Kathmandu Durbar Square and Kirtipur; Evening farewell dinner in a cultural restaurant

Today we will wake up before the dawn to absorb the sunrise view from Nagarkot. Thousands of visitors throng to Nagarkot every year to witness the beauty of sunrise from Nagarkot. Let us feast our eyes with the enticing sunrise view and glittering Himalayas early morning. Then after the breakfast, our tour resumes. We drive back to Kathmandu Durbar Square at Kathmandu. Kathmandu Durbar Square, an ancient courtyard is exemplary craftsmanship designed and executed by local artists of medieval age. The stone paved streets, pagoda style monuments and the religious monuments inclusive different Living Goddess Kumari and other deities are the cultural displays at the site. Travel to the past at Kathmandu Durbar Square. Pick a local restaurant around for the lunch and post lunch drive to Kritipur, a historic town that still holds the traditional values so strongly. The city known as anti-monarchy town for ages due to bitter history with Shah kings played important role to overthrow monarchy in 2006. This historic town holds several temples and Buddhist monasteries. BaghBhairav Temple, Chilancho Stupa, Uma Maheswor Temple and Shree Kriti Bihar are interesting sites to visit at Kirtipur. We will explore as many places as possible at Kirtipur before we drive back to our hotel in Kathmandu. In the evening, we return to Kathmandu and we can enjoy our evening. Stay overnight at Kathmandu.

Day 5 Depart Kathmandu

As per your flight schedule, you will drive with our representative to the airport in a private vehicle. Have a safe flight and visit Nepal time and again
